AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Jas Worth's father is unemployed, her family unhappy and, to top it off, Vietnamese have moved in next door. "It's people like them," her Dad says, "who are taking our jobs." So Jas decides to make life hard for the neighbours - and particularly for their teenage daughter, Thanh. While Jas and her brothers get up to their spiteful tricks, they discover a lot about Thanh and her family: their customs, their past suffering, and their present struggles and hurts. Slowly, Jas also begins to find out about herself. But is it too late to undo the hurt she has caused?' (Source: back cover.)
