  • Editor's note: The tragic poet whom we lately introduced to the public, is so pleased with our having printed a scene from his affecting drama, that he has favoured us with another specimen of it.
  • Staging notes: A private chamber, the Governor, attended by Messers. Darvall, Icely, and Allen, is seen employed in roughly shaking a gentleman who is on the floor, having an empty bottle near him on a three-legged pembroke table. After some useless efforts to rouse his recumbent patient, His Excellency begins-
