  • Epigraph: We understand it to be the intention of the members of the Port Phillip Bar to entertain his Honour the Resident Judge at a dinner prior to his departure for Sydney. We should opine that in like manner the inhabitants would press forward to testify, by a similar mark of respect, the sentiments they entertain towards his Honor during his short sojourn amongst us, for truly we would say, "we ne'er shall look upon his like again." - Port Phillip Patriot
