  • Poem on steps taken by the Queensland Government to protect native flora (albeit for largely aesthetic reasons). At the time, Romeo Lahey, Arthur Groom and other members of the recently formed Queensland National Parks Association had begun their campaign to raise public awareness of conservation and environmental protection issues.
