Norman Lindsay's emphatic response to an after-dinner speech that was delivered to the Society of Artists by George Lambert. Although Lindsay's discussion deals predominantly with Australian art and artists, there is a brief section subtitled, 'The Value of Hugh McCrae's Poetry'.
