A letter written partly in response to Chris Bowen's column 'Fiction Nurtures the Soul' in which Bowen extols the virtues of reading fiction, including that of Thomas Keneally. Keneally uses the opportunity to recommend the retention of parallel importation rules to protect the Australian writing and publishing industries.
