AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A story about the growth of a tree from a seed, dropped by a bird 'generations before the Scottish pioneers crossed the mountains into Gippsland'. This short piece celebrates the vitality and fortitude of the tree in a harsh environment through trimming for Aboriginal tools, lopping for pioneer settlements and bushfire.
