  • Author's note: A coastward bound lady, Mrs O'Loughlin, of Lawlers, lost a hundred sovereigns and two gold bangles. The missing property was found by Percy Toy, Cobb and Co.'s manager and restored to its owner. She rewarded the finder's honesty with ten shillings!
