AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The story of Fergus and Jean, who leave Scotland to make Australia their new home. After arriving in Melbourne, they sail on to Sydney to stay on a sheep station with their Aunt Mildred. Fergus and his father go off to the gold fields in Western Australia, and Jean and their mother remain behind. Jean gets lost in the bush, and meets a little Aboriginal boy, Kadok, who saves her.
