AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Memories of Sinhalese and Sri Lankan women who have lived in Canberra within the last three decades.

'Badra Karunarathna has collected what the book's subtitle refers to as 'testimonies and memories'. The story of what migration means for women is told through many voices. The reader is offered a glimpse of life in Sri Lanka and an excellent collage of images of life for Sri Lankan women in Australia.' -- from the Foreword by Patricia Easteal
