Dinah was plucked from an orphanage by her 'Aunt', Robina, who has maltreated and maligned her for years. However, a kindly farmer sees beyond the drudge that Dinah has become, and asks her to be his wife.
It is Christmas Eve, and a father has given his 'scapegrace' son an ultimatum. The son fails to comply with his father's demand, and is therefore disowned by him. Time passes, and the son is happily married and living a humble existence in Australia where he is astounded to receive a visit from his regretful and forgiving father.
