This work tells of the sea-going adventures of a teenage boy who leaves his home in America to explore the world. A substantial portion of the story is set in Australia.

Notes

  • Author's note: 'This story was told to me by the boy who ran away, and I have written it down as simply as possible, and without additions. I have omitted all the bad language he heard, and a few scenes that I felt it best to leave out. It may serve to show restless boys what running away really means.' K. B.
