Kargarian writes a first-person account of religious persecution in Iran as told to her by 'Maryam.'

Notes

  • Editor's note: 'Maryam' is the name used for this story. Both her name and her image have been obscured to protect possible persecution in her country of origin. 'Maryam' came from Persia (Iran) because of religious persecution' (p. 60).
