Comrade, a young farmer, is friends with his neighbour's daughters, Pandora and Clarice. Initially, he courts Pandora who is beautiful, flirtatious and capricious. Comrade respects Clarice's sense of duty, her domestic and gardening skills, and her senitive and unselfish nature.They fall in love, Comrade buys her father's farm and they marry.
