AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Copperfield Miner and Peak Downs Record was established by Charles Stevens and John Harrop Henzell, beginning publication on 18 November 1873. From May 1874, Henzell continued as sole proprietor, until selling the newspaper to Peter Robertson in February 1875. Ceasing publication in May 1878, The Copperfield Miner was incorporated into The Peak Downs Telegram from 1 June.
