1885Cairns:Henry Barr,1885Z15059741885newspaper The second newspaper of this name, The Cairns Chronicle was launched in January 1885 by proprietors William Doyle Hobson, A. J. Draper, and Dr. E. Myers and published by Henry Barr. Sold around November 1885 to pay libel costs, the paper was purchased again in November 1889 by William Hobson as sole proprietor, who changed its name to The Cairns Argus.
