      • The National Library of Australia copy is bound with First Numbers and Special Issues of Australian Magazines Vol. 5. The typed contents page of this volume has the date of this work as 'n.d.' [no date] crossed out with '[1884]' written beside it in ink.
      • Page 32 has an advertisement for W. H. Williams in which it is stated that the firm is 'established thirty-one years'. The firm was established around 1853/54 which makes a date of 1884 for this work possible.
      • Price sixpence.
      • Includes 'A Bit of Fun', facetiae, conundrums and in-door games, on page 30 and 'Notable Men of the Time', six short biographies of British peers and clergy, on pages thirteen and sixteen.
      • Advertisements appear on the endpapers, front and back covers and at the head and or foot of some pages in the text.
      • Some stories are individually illustrated and there are three further illustrations, a frontispiece and six portraits accompanying the 'Notable Men of the Time' piece.
