  • Author's note: It is quite refreshing, in these times of repeated failures, to hear of the gratifying success attending the recent "Call to Arms." The military ardour, which had been feebly smouldering in some of the country detachments, fairly burst into magic flames, and with a simultaneous cap - attained the "red hot" heat of enthusiasm;
