Notes

  • Author's note: Good-by to the fleet, goodbye! For they have gone at last, and left us nothing but the meek and well-behaved 'Penguin' and the not easily discharged 'Dart,' two dreadfully respectable naval policeman who never break bounds, or keep bad hours. As to the others! It was about time they went, those wicked love-making perfidious tars.
