AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Townsville Advertiser was conceived during the strike of printers in 1976 which forced The Townsville Daily Bulletin to suspend publication for 33 days. This free weekly publication was re-named The Advertiser, then The Twin Cities Advertiser, before splitting into The Townsville Sun and The Thuringowa Sun.
