      Note/s:
      • Public Notice (appears inside of back cover): Some apology is due to the public who generously support this book, for the omission of the names of several well-known political individuals who enjoy the confidence of the people, and all the good things this earth can produce.

I endeavoured to deal with them, but the printer, Mr. W. E.Smith, would not allow me. He has a horror of the Law of Libel, but he forgets that you cannot libel a political burglar...Mr. Smith and his lawyers cut, hacked and pruned my manuscript; and my own lawyers assisted in the genial operation. It became a question of Book modified, or no Book at all; so temporarily I gave way...W. N. Willis. Randwick, Sydney.
