Walter Worm lives in Mr Brown-Smith's garden. He is a hard-working, intelligent ploughworm, and he is also very patriotic. When he suffers a terrible accident, he is forced to examine the relationship between his work and his sense of identity.
Back cover states: 'Look out for the other books about Ada Cicada, Mrs Mosquito, Mrs & Miss Clothes-Moth, Lily and Lionel Ladybird, Dahlia Slug.' Libraries Australia has no record of a work titled Mrs & Miss Clothes-Moth.
