Musical scena.
Also known as A Day in a Village School, this humorous musical scena was played out during a day in an up-country village school. The Brisbane Courier writes of the 1919 Empire Theatre revival that the narrative revolved around 'a day in which the schoolmaster governed merely with the consent of the governed, and learnt more than he taught. Miss Edith Huxham, [was] the Belle of the Ballet' (25 August 1919, n. pag.).
Possibly written by Hugh Huxham, in collaboration with other members of his troupe.
