Notes

  • Dedication: (For Simone Tyson)
  • Author's note: I co-wrote this poem with Inala poet, Simone Tyson, for Stylin' Up 2006 (The Indigenous Australian-owned hip hop and R'n'B music and dance event in Brisbane). The poem was performed as part of Lay-Deez Business Represent. I am extremely proud of Simone and all the young ladies who represent Inala 4077 with style, dedication and respect.
