The Wordshed is a six-part series of half-hour television programmes comprising interviews, readings, mini essays, and performances by Australian and international poets and writers.

Writers interviewed include David Malouf, Sonya Hartnett, Catherine Rey, Brian Castro, Luke Davies, John Tranter, Christos Tsiolkas, and Peter Goldsworthy.

Notes

  • The series is presented by Johanna Featherstone, on behalf of the Writing and Society Research Group in the College of Arts, Education and Social Sciences at the University of Western Sydney. The Wordshed project was also the first to link the Red Room Company with both HEAT magazine and the University of Western Sydney.

She explains that she was interested in looking at the differences between his official naval ship logs and the journal of Joseph Banks, the exploration's enthusiastic twenty-five-year-old botanist.
