Notes

  • Author's note: The traditional Aboriginal people studied the sky very well. They knew the positions of all the major stars. They could predict the changing patterns of the moon and the seasonal effects of the sun. Many different Dreamtime legends were told about the stars, the sun and the moon, and how each came into being. This particular legend comes from the Aboriginal people from the area now called Arnhem Land.
