AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Traces the failed 1930 expedition by Harry Bell Lasseter to relocate the gold reef that he claimed to have found near the Warburton Ranges in Western Australia in 1897. Black-and-white photographs of the 1930 expedition and extracts from Lasseter's writings are included. Lasseter died alone during the expedition and the reef has never been found.
