A comedy sketch comprising lots of physical slapstick, the story revolves around Chic and Joe meeting Joe's girl and her family.

  • The Pat Hanna Collection manuscript indicates the following cast/character list: G. P. Hanna (Chic), Joe Valli (Joe), Stan Lawson (Mum), Bob Purdie (Dad), Ern Kopke (Bert), Jessie Meadows (Joe's Girl), Iza Crossley (Her Sister).

  • Joe's Girl is one of several sketches played out between Chic and Joe (previously Chic and Bert) that form an on-going series based on the experiences of Australian and New Zealand soldiers during the First World War and as they try to return to 'normal' civilian life after the Armistice.
