Advertised in the Argus as 'W. Horace Bent's original sketch' (4 August 1883, p.16).
It is unclear if this farce bears any relationship to the similarly tilted farces Thompson's Dog (Harry Clay's 1910 New South Wales/Queensland tour) and Dr Slocum (Theatre Royal, Brisbane, 1 December 1900).
