A column canvassing current literary news including a brief report on the decision by the Courier-Mail's editor, David Fagan, to not publish the 2007 winning entry in the State Library of Queensland Young Writers Award. Fagan tells Sorensen that he was 'unhappy with the portrayal of the death of the central character. In my opinion, it glamorised suicide in a way I wasn't willing to publish in the Courier-Mail".
