AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Theatre Magazine takes a cynical stance against Hugh D. McIntosh following his appointment as general manager of the Sunday Times. The Theatre's main complaint was directed towards McIntosh's glowing tributes to Tivoli artists and shows (McIntosh was also general manager of Harry Rickards' Tivoli Theatres Ltd) while almost completely ignoring its competitors.
