Wyndham says: 'Moriarty spent a year rewriting [I Have a Bed Made of Buttermilk Pancakes], which raises interesting questions about what distinguishes adult and teen fiction. "I didn't try to dumb it down," [Moriarty] says, "or change the vocabulary ... but I restructured it so the story opens with the girl and other things start to shift."'
