  • Author's note: [W]ritten by Batholomew Jeffery, Esquire, Senior, formerly Governor of Saint Bartholomew's Hospital, and Director of the Royal Exchange, in the city of London; and Governour of Saint Thomas's Hospital, in the Borough of Southwark. He died in December, 1842, at his Residence on Clapham Common, in the County of Surrey.
