Science-fiction fanzine, based around American television programme Star Trek. Originally privately published by its creator Susan Clarke, Beyond Antares became the official fanzine of the Astrex Star Club of Australia during the period in which Clarke served as Astrex's president. Just as Astrex was Australia's oldest Star Trek fanclub, Beyond Antares became one of the longest-running Star Trek publications in Australia.
Issues 5 and 6 were issued bound together in Oct. 1977. Some issues state that they were produced by the Astrex Star Trek Club of New South Wales.
The fanzine takes its name from a 23rd-century love song from the original series of Star Trek, sung by Lieutenant Uhura in the episodes 'The Conscience of the King' and 'The Changeling'. It has no relationship to the California-based fanzine Beyond Antares, which produced eleven issues between c.1985 and 1987.
The fanzine's extent is variable, depending on the content available, but usually runs to between 30 and 65 pages. The exceptions are the double issue (issues 30 and 31, 128 pp.) and the supplementary 20th-anniversary edition (c.200 pp.).

Beyond Antares's sister publication, the het and slash fanzine Beyond Antares R-Rated, was also published by the Astrex Star Trek Club of Australia.
