A group of established writers and filmmakers such as Romaine Moreton, Rima Tamou, Richard Frankland, Beck Cole, Warwick Thorton, Wayne Blair, Darlene Johnson, Sam Saunders and Pauline Clague were selected in 2007 to participate in a project by the Australian Film Commission (AFC) that was designed to nurture and assist the talents of upcoming Indigenous filmakers. The project was designed to give the chosen individuals the opportunity to develop their first feature film with the assistance of respected directors and producers such as Phillip Noyce, Zachary Skiar and Ray Lawrence.
