Censorship notes: One censor noted: 'This is a kind of burlesque description of the experiences of an English woman-agent parachuted into France in 1944 and there captured by a party of semi-maniacal German sexual athletes (male and female). The English woman is subjected to various tortures and indignities and finds that she gets actual sexual enjoyment from them. On her escape and return to England, she is regarded as a martyred heroine and awarded the George Cross. The satire is acid but the apparently deliberate resemblance to the real life story of Odette will offend many people. However, the real cause of offence is the enticing manner in which sadism, masochism, torture, flagellation, rape, lesbianism and numerous other sexual deviations are described.'
Censorship notes: The proof copy was prohibited by the board. It was released on 29.09.1973
