Notes

  • Author's note: See 'Child Artists of the Australian Bush,' by Mary Durack Miller in association with Florence Rutter (1952). (Australian Publishing Company, Sydney, in association with George Harrap & Co. Ltd., London). It is the 'story of child artists whose extraordinary work flourished for a few years on a Government native settlement in the Great Southern District of Western Australia.' The name of the settlement was Carrolup, and the child artists were 'the remnants of many broken and vanishing tribes.'
