AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'A sequence of twenty-two cantos, set in the Geelong Flood of 1995. It tells the story of a Mr Walker who has met his death by drowning in the Barwon River. As Walker is swept downstream he is consoled by the spirit of another victim, a girl who had fallen from her home overlooking that fateful river. Walker's body comes to rest in the tangled reeds of Goat Island, though his spirit moves out into the Great Southern Ocean' (Back cover).
