Maria Butera describes her early years in Italy, the emotions she experienced emigrating, her experiences in Australia of gaining employment and raising a family, and her visit to Italy in 1979.

  • Maria Butera's narrative appears as part of the Sempre Con Te exhibition, a combined visual and written socio-documentary of the Italian Migration to the Sydney Northern Beaches Area. The exhibition was held at The artRoom Upstairs Gallery on Manly Corso and is now represented online at http://www.sempreconte.com/index.htm.
