Censorship notes: The censors agreed unanimously that the novel's bestiality scene exceeded acceptable standards. One censor noted: 'This is a serious attempt at a literary novel in the American blockbuster tradition. It is sometimes successful, sometimes not. It does, however, break new ground in its description of the training of a cow to participate in sexual intercourse with a human being. On this count and its somewhat modest literary achievement, I recommend prohibition.'
Censorship notes: The book was released at the cyclical review on 27.07.1973.
