Here 'Den' encourages readers to subscribe to the Conversion Loan, which was floated by the Commonwealth Government to raise funds for existing loan obligations. Notably, the Conversion Loan campaign aroused a good deal of patriotic sentiment, particularly in Melbourne, where the subscription drive culminated on 12 December, with a flyover by 24 aeroplanes, and a street march and rally, at which the Acting Federal Treasurer (Lyons) addressed the crowd.
