  • This untitled extract is the first part of the poem, 'No. 2, North, on the Western Reef : Before Crushing', as it appeared in Voices from the Bush. The extract appeared in The Brisbane Courier with a brief accompanying letter from a reader, who had remembered Forbes' poetry.
