AbstractHistoryArchive Description

An English playwright visits Sydney and writes a play which is then performed, unsuccessfully, in London. Returning to Australia the playwright is eventually re-united with the Australian woman he loves. Her unhappy marriage is discovered to be illegal, and the pair are able to marry.
