  • Dedication: During my travels throughout Queensland I have seen and heard much of the humour of life and from time to time my friends have, judging by their hearty laughter, thoroughly enjoyed the many anecdotes which I have related in prose and poetry. Now I, in turn, have my measure of satisfaction and pleasure in inflicting some further anecdotes on them and in dedicating this book to them.
