  • This issue contains a lengthy introductory editorial note by Steele Rudd, in which he informs readers that he has returned to the magazine as part proprietor and editor.
  • Notable in this issue was a full page item (p. xi) calling for works from contributors : 'We are on the look-out for Good Original Work dealing with the Political, Industrial, Social, Legal, Educational, Theatrical, Sporting, Artistic, Religious, or other element of Australian life, in summarised essential form. Steele Rudd's Magazine has been established for the purpose of encouraging, developing, and expressing what is best in Australian thought...Type-written Matter Preferred. Write on one side of paper only, and forward Memo. for payment when matter appears.'
