Janet and Buck promise each other that they will not have photographs of past conquests on the mantelpiece once they are married. Janet remembers that Rod Hardy, their best man, still has a photograph of her which dates back to their brief infatuation. She plans a way of retrieving it on the eve of her wedding.
Bennito Connaught has two loves, his piano and solo dancer, Nina Carew. At every perfomance he pours out his heart to her through his music, but she never seems to notice him. When Nina asks him to play for her when she dances for international ballet teacher, Madame Deschampes, he is torn. If he plays well Nina will be taken away from him forever.
