Authors include Rodney Bennett, Eleanor Farjeon, Edward Parry, Paul Edmonds, Mona Swan, Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll, William Thackeray, Peggy Noble, C.S. Caverley, Thomas Hardy, and Robert Browning. Unattributed verses are by the Editor, Clive Sansom. The book contains Teachers' Notes and an index.
