A musical set on a Monopoly board, Debts explores the rise and fall of Australian corporate business identities in the 1980s, and the politicians who supported them.

Notes

  • Meg Dunn was awarded a best actress CONDA (City of Newcastle Drama Awards) in 1991 for her role as Dice.

Production Details

  • 1991 : Newcastle Community Arts Centre ; October. Prod. Zeal Theatre ; Dir. Stefo Nantsou. Cast: Rod Ansell, Meg Dunn, Alan Gannaway, Stefo Nantsou, Kerry O'Hearn, Kate Sweeney.

    Debts was produced for a short season at the Civic Theatre Playhouse (Newcastle) and given a two week season at the Tandanya Centre during the 1992 Adelaide Fringe Festival. The cast for these productions included Rob Dilley. The play was also staged by Griffith University Drama students in 2004 under the direction of Stefo Nantsou.
