Notes

  • Author's note: Lady Augusta Gregory, patron of W.B. Yeats, gathered at her home, Coole Park, figures of the Irish literary renaissance. They carved their initials on the beech trees on her garden. Lady Gregory helped to revive the ancient Celtic mythology and language and to return Hugh Lane's art collection to Ireland.
