Nora Cameron is convinced her husband would not be unfaithful and accepts a bet that he cannot be persuaded to take his attractive assistant, Miss Mosely, out to dinner. When the appointed night arrives and he rings to say he will be late home she begins to doubt him.
Self-conscious Jane Weston is embarrassed when a young man offers to help her find her shoe, which a friendly dog has buried. When he offers to drive her home she is convinced he thinks she has tricked him into helping her.
